You are Welcome to Join Us...

Our Hope

Usually, when you visit a friend or a family member for the first time you aren't expected to pitch in by doing the dishes, the household laundry, or mowing the lawn. The same is true when you come to visit us at Wellspring; you are a visitor for as long as you need.  However, you may feel like pitching in right away and that's great too. The point is, we want to give space for you and the Holy Spirit to discern if Wellspring is your home. And when you're home you become family. This will usually take place not only when you start caring for the family, but most importantly when you allow our family to care for you.

And this is our hope: that everyone who visits will become a family member stepping into our Family Life.

    What to Expect

You can expect a warm welcome. You can expect freedom. You are free to wear what suits you. You are free to be yourself in worship and in general. You can also expect our worship music to be a blend of contemporary and traditional. What's more, while there will be laughter and fun, our worship time is not designed for entertainment but to lead God's people to worship the One True God, making Him our true audience.

    Order of Worship

Our worship service has two major movements: Word and Sacrament. The Bible is at the forefront of all that we pray, read, and do. We will read directly from the Bible and preach from it as well.

The Sacrament of Eucharist or Communion is where we come together to remember Jesus and do what He instituted by consuming bread and wine together as a family. Our table is open to all who profess faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Children who have been baptized may take communion at any age. And, not to overstate it, but you are free to participate in as much or as little of the worship service as you feel comfortable and led by the Holy Spirit. Charity and grace will be present for all who gather.

    Children

Children are part of our family and are vital members of the church. They are welcome at all times, noise and all, to be with us in our worship service. There will be Children's Chapel available from the beginning of worship until communion. There is also a room in the back for changing, feeding, or any other needs through out our time together.

Family Life

Wellspring is our home and this makes us family. And, just like every family we have our own particular rhythms and traditions that make us unique - this is our Family Life.

Regular worship is a part of our Family Life but we also see Family Life taking place in two other ways based on James 1:27. One, we want to be Growing Deeper. These include activities, groups, studies, or events that take us deeper in our relationships with one another and with our Lord. Two, we want to have an awareness of others, especially those in need. This happens in service to one another and then also to the world around us.
